Victor Osimhen joins Galatasaray from Napoli

Victor Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on a permanent transfer from Napoli.
The 26-year-old spent the final season on loan in the Turkish league, becoming a member of them in September 2024 after signing a season-long loan deal from the Serie A side.
Osimhen has signed a four-year contract with the Istanbul-based membership. In accordance with Galatasaray, the two football clubs agreed on a price of € 75 million (£64.8m; $85.6m), with Napoli retaining a ten percent sell-on clause as part of the deal. Galatasaray additionally added that the striker would earn a wage of €15m with a loyalty bonus of €1m.
The striker scored 37 goals throughout 41 appearances for the club together including six in their Europa League campaign, and helped them retain the Turkish Super Lig title.
The Nigerian had entered the ultimate year of his contract at Napoli, having most recently signed a contract extension in December 2023.
Last summer, Napoli signed Romelu Lukaku to replace Osimhen as their starting No. 9 following the appointment of Antonio Conte as head coach, whereas Italy worldwide striker Lorenzo Lucca joined on loan from Udinese.
