‘I’m traumatised’- Comfort Emmanson finally breaks silence over Ibom Air incident

Comfort Emmanson, an Ibom Air passenger who was charged with acting unrulily with the airline’s staff, has given her version of events.

In a post on her verified Instagram account, @soft_commy, the young woman recounted the incident and accused a flight attendant, only known as Julian Edwards, of severing her frontal wig, severing her gold jewelry, and breaking her cell phones.

She claims that after questioning the crew member about the destruction of her personal items, the altercation became more heated.

She further said that the air hostess made fun of her and, at first, stopped her from getting off the plane.

The traveler expressed regret that the event had traumatized her and that her distress had increased as a result of her private photos being shared on social media.

“I want to start by giving thanks to God Almighty and all of the people who supported and battled for me when I was incarcerated. I was surprised by the love and support I received after coming out because I am a common person. God bless you, everyone, I say.

I took a flight from Uyo to Lagos on August 10th, and everything went according to plan. Juliana, the woman, was urging everyone to turn off their phones. I was having trouble using my phone when she came to me, so she advised me to turn it off.

“I demonstrated to her that one of the phones wasn’t working. She stated I could turn it off without using the power button because the button was broken. The man seated next to me assisted me in shutting off the other of my two phones.

She advised me to go to my settings and to general while she was speaking. I pleaded with her to take the phone off it, but she refused,” she recounted.
