Eight Caribbean Resorts Recognized in 2025 World Travel Awards

The 2025 World Travel Awards have announced the nominees for Best New Resort and Best Island Resort in the Caribbean, highlighting properties that exemplify luxury, innovation, and exceptional guest experiences. The awards ceremony will be held this fall in St. Lucia, where winners for the Caribbean and Americas will be revealed.

According to the Caribbean Tourism Association, tourism interest in the region continues to rise. The top 10 most-visited islands in 2025 include the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Aruba, Martinique, St. Maarten, Barbados, and St. Kitts.

Graham Cooke, founder of the World Travel Awards, stated that this year’s nominees “represent the bold, beautiful future of luxury hospitality” and set new benchmarks in service and innovation.

Best New Resort Nominees

Princess Grand — Jamaica

Located between Montego Bay and Negril, Princess Grand is Jamaica’s largest hotel, with 590 suites, nine restaurants, eight bars, three pools, and a large aquatic park. Select ground-floor swim-out rooms provide direct pool access. Plans include a new casino.

Royalton Chic — Antigua

Situated on Dickenson Bay, this adults-only, all-inclusive resort offers 235 rooms and suites, including 12 overwater villas with private plunge pools, hammocks, and glass floor panels. Facilities include five bars, seven restaurants, and a spa.

Salterra Resort & Spa — Turks and Caicos


Located on South Caicos, Salterra features 100 ocean-facing rooms and suites with butler service, six dining venues, four pools, and an extensive spa. It is the sole resort on Salterra Beach and includes dedicated children’s programs.

Six Senses La Sagesse — Grenada


The brand’s Caribbean debut features 56 pool suites and 15 villas on La Sagesse Bay. Each has large terraces and private plunge pools. Amenities include a two-story spa and a yoga pavilion overlooking a lagoon.

This oceanfront resort on Providenciales offers 92 waterfront accommodations and four distinct neighborhoods. Features include dedicated butlers and the island’s first ocean swimming lagoon.

The St. Regis Aruba Resort — Aruba


Located on Palm Beach, this property offers 252 rooms, including 52 suites, direct beach access, The St. Regis Spa, and Aruba’s first St. Regis Casino.

The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort — Dominican Republic


Situated in Cap Cana, this resort has 200 rooms, including 36 luxury suites. It offers direct access to the Jack Nicklaus Signature Punta Espada golf course, a St. Regis Spa, and The Amber Room cigar bar.

Zel Punta Cana — Dominican Republic


Developed in partnership with Rafael Nadal, this all-inclusive resort near Los Corales Beach offers swim-up suites, pools, a beach club, and seven restaurants.

Best Island Resort Nominees

Four Seasons Resort Nevis — West Indies


Set on a historic plantation site, this resort has 39 private retreats and 80 rooms. Amenities include a 12,000-square-foot spa, seven dining venues, and a golf course.

Rosewood Baha Mar — Bahamas


Located on Cable Beach within the Baha Mar resort complex, Rosewood Baha Mar offers 221 rooms, four dining venues, a spa, and a three-tiered courtyard pool.

Sailrock South Caicos — Turks and Caicos


This resort offers large villas in a residential-style setting. Facilities include the Great House dining venue, beachfront access, and newly improved flight connections from Miami.

Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina — British Virgin Islands


This private island resort features 52 guest accommodations, two private beaches, a spa, gourmet restaurants, and a 55-slip marina.

Seven private island resorts also earned recognition, including Fowl Cay Resort, Kamalame Cay, Musha Cay, and Over Yonder Cay in the Bahamas, Ambergris Cay and The Meridian Club Pine Cay in Turks and Caicos, and Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
