3 Dead, 8 Injured in Brooklyn Lounge Shooting, NYPD Confirms

Three men were killed and eight others wounded in a shooting inside a Brooklyn lounge early Sunday morning, according to the New York Police Department. Authorities said multiple shooters appeared to have been involved in the incident.

The shooting occurred inside the Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated during a press briefing that a total of 11 people were struck by gunfire, including eight men and three women. The first emergency call came in at approximately 3:27 a.m.

The three male victims who died were pronounced dead at the scene. Two of the men were identified as ages 27 and 25, while the age of the third victim has not yet been confirmed, Tisch said.

Investigators recovered around three dozen shell casings inside the lounge. A firearm was also found nearby, in the vicinity of Bedford Avenue and Eastern Parkway. Authorities are examining whether the weapon is connected to the attack.

No arrests have been made as of Sunday morning, police confirmed. The NYPD is continuing its investigation and has urged anyone with information to come forward.

The incident adds to ongoing concerns about gun violence in New York City. Officials noted that the scale of the shooting highlights the continued risks posed by disputes escalating into mass violence in nightlife settings.

This latest attack comes amid a broader national debate on gun control and public safety. According to recent FBI data, incidents involving multiple shooters have been rising in several U.S. cities, placing additional pressure on law enforcement and community leaders to address prevention strategies.

Authorities said updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
